Ben joined the Coastal IVF team in 2022. After graduating from Monash University, Ben has been completing his specialty training at several major hospitals in South East Queensland. During this time he also completed a Masters in Reproductive Medicine and pursued a special interest in infertility and minimally invasive surgery.
Ben feels having a family is one of the greatest joys in life. Unfortunately for many couples, falling pregnant is not easy and this can be a difficult and highly stressful time. The ability to help and support patients to achieve a healthy pregnancy is what drove Ben to O&G. Ben believes that tailoring care to the individual (and/ or couple) is essential to achieving the best clinical outcome and patient experience.
From 2007 to 2015 Rob was a GP Obstetrician practicing in rural Victoria. During his tenure, Dr North found the obstetric part of his day to be the most rewarding and so embarked on further O&G specialty training. Dr North is committed to continuity of care for his patients and delivers a range of specialist obstetric and gynaecological services.
When not at work Rob enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and travelling. He has travelled to all continents of the world and has climbed to the highest point on each continent including summiting Mt Everest in 2010.
With over 35 years experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, IVF & infertility, Dr Paul Stokes leads the Coastal IVF team with care and experience. He graduated from UNSW in Sydney with Honours including undergraduate research in embryopathology and embryo culture techniques. From 1982 Paul worked in one of Australia’s first IVF units in Adelaide and later in a UK fertility program.
In 1987, Paul established his own private practice with a special interest in infertility and diagnostic ultrasound. Then in 1996 Paul introduced IVF services to the Sunshine Coast through the establishment of Coastal IVF at Maroochydore. Paul believes strongly in identifying and treating the underlying cause of a couple’s infertility, rather than just going straight to IVF.
